MEET CHRISTINA

Christina Wilson, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

I am a compassionate speech therapist who loves to have fun! My mission is to make learning fun and rewarding, so I hide the hard work of therapy in activities that your child enjoys. You will often see me moving, dancing, and singing in our therapy sessions.

Just like my clients, I am continuously learning and growing. I am proud to meet and exceed the continuing education requirements for the state of Georgia as well as ASHA, our national accrediting agency. With specialty training in late talkers, language disorders, speech sound disorders, literacy intervention (including Wilson Reading System, an Orton–Gillingham approach), gestalt language processing, and feeding. I bring the latest in evidence-based practice to help my clients learn and grow...all while having fun!

LET'S GET STARTED

1.

BEGIN WITH A FREE CONSULTATION. We will discuss concerns, answer questions, and make recommendations. During our conversation, if an evaluation is recommended we will get you scheduled for your first appointment.

2.

EVALUATE SKILLS. After assessing your child’s communication skills, we will discuss our test results and therapy recommendations with your family. If therapy is warranted, we can schedule your weekly sessions at an appropriate frequency.

3.

START THERAPY. This is where the fun starts! We will meet your child where they are at and design sessions that include their interests to help them develop new skills. We work closely with caregivers and teachers all along the way.

4.

MAKE PROGRESS! We will monitor your child's progress each session and complete a re-evaluation about every 12 months to measure growth. Your therapist will inform you when a re-evaluation is needed, and new goals may be written at that time.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING

"I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for the wonderful resource that PASS of Atlanta has been to our family!"

When our oldest son, Benji, was diagnosed with Apraxia, we were faced with a situation that we knew nothing about, and we had no idea how to best help him. Luckily, some friends told us about PASS of Atlanta, and, from there, we were quickly able to get Benji connected with a warm and knowledgeable speech therapist. Benji looked forward to speech sessions, and we soon saw improvements. By the time our younger son, Bear, started to show speech delays, we were already well connected with PASS and knew immediately where to turn. Benji has since “graduated” from speech, but we have a hard time keeping him away when his younger brother is in his speech session. And Bear continues to improve and looks forward to his sessions. I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for the wonderful resource that PASS of Atlanta has been to our family!
